It's been a while since the last post!

I've been spending the last few moons really trying to live with the calendar in the background. I saved the Daily Reading page as an app on my phone to check more easily, and I've found that even on the most boring and seemingly meaningless day, it manages to give me something interesting to think over.

The last three moons have been Bloom Moon (The Artist - Fire), Nectar Moon (The Lover - Water), and Flame Moon (The Warrior - Fire). According to the Earth Calendar, these last few moons have offered inspiration, a chance to dive inward to reassess what nourishes, and then stirred something within as the height of northern hemisphere summer approaches.

In the Earth Calendar, and in 2026, each week "begins" on Thursday. Friday is therefore early in the week and Wednesday the end. The fact that weeks begin on Thursday has a larger impact on the year (I will get into that another time), but it is significant. Essentially, 2026 as a whole is a Jovian year (expand - grow - teach).

This last Thursday, on the 18th of June, we entered our second Earth Moon of the year: The Fruit Moon.

The Fruit Moon signals the first turn into the second part of the year. As you can see in the image below, the Fruit Moon (Archetype: The Gatherer) sits at the very bottom of the wheel.

The Summer Solstice is right around the corner as well, marked by the yellow sun sigil in the outermost band of the slice (representing Week 1 Dream & Drop) of Fruit Moon.

The gold triangle below The Gatherer is the symbol for "Earth Moon". As you can see, the upcoming Sunroot Moon (The Sovereign), is also an Earth moon.

More on that later.

What better moon than the Fruit Moon to usher in the peak of the solar year?

The Gatherer arrives just as the days reach their longest. The more frantic momentum of spring has settled, and the first half of the year starts to reveal its shape.

Fruit Moon asks: what has been growing this whole time?

Look back at the wheel. What has been dreamt in Dreaming, sown in Seed, sprouted in Sprout, bloomed in Bloom, nurtured in Nectar, ignited in Flame, and is about to ripen in Fruit?

What is already here?

Personally, looking back over the last few moons, there has been a lot happening all over the place.

I spent a lot of time working on and refining the Daily Reading page so that I could have something reminding me what each day is and what that means. It made a much bigger impact than I anticipated, which is why I decided it was time to come back and keep at it.

Perhaps that is my lesson of The Gatherer.

What we gather now is what Harvest Moon will return to us.

The double Earth season leads from Fruit Moon into Sunroot Moon (The Sovereign). Together, these moons invite us to double down and build, ground, and give lasting form to what has been developing since the beginning of the year.

This is double Earth season.

This is the time to make things real.

As always, the Daily Reading page is available to explore each day's layers as they unfold in full detail.

Happy Fruit Moon!

May the work done now receive ever-bountiful yields in the coming moons.
